Abstracts

My abstract work is an act of discovery, independent of obvious references. I attempt to capture an event or mood through colour texture and design. I find it both demanding and rewarding to connect the patterns that are in my mind and convey them into visual form.

Arshile Gorky, the Armenian- American painter who had a seminal influence on Abstract Expressionism, felt that abstraction allows man to see with his mind what he cannot see physically with his eyes.
